            Irish home rule bids of 1886 and 1893.
             In 1879 a man called Charles S Parnell, an Irish MP decided that he was tired of being under British rule and following stupid British penal laws. So he brought together lots of Irish party's, which supported the home rule pushes, and created a new party called the "Home Rule Movement". Seven years later their first home rule bill was rejected by Westminster. Then in 1893 the British PM "Gladstone" proposed another home rule bill, which was supported by the Home Rule Movement and Parnell Unfortunately the bill was defeated in parliament, 93 of Gladstone's own party voting against it.
             After the flustation of being denied Home Rule twice, lots of new Irish party's sprung up all over Ireland, each with its own way it thought Ireland should be run, many wanting violence, others wanting to take Ireland peacefully. Most of the new party's where unsuccessful and didn't get past the local elections. .
             Other than the political failures of the new party's the rejections brought a "Gaelic Revival" which was when Ireland brought back it's own personality starting to sing Gaelic songs about Ireland and play Irish Sports like playing Hurling instead of football. One of the most prominent figures in this Revival was W.B.Yate's an Irish writer who was at the front of Irish culture. .
             In 1912 there was another Home Rule Bill this time however the British PM Herbert Asquith managed to get it past the House of Lords and to become law in 1914.
