What were your first impressions of the Stanford Prison Experiment?.
The Stanford Prison Experiment was a forceful and shocking experiment. When the class first viewed the video, I did not understand how we could apply in Organizational Behavior. As I began my research, I began to understand that the experiment was about teamwork. Even though the experiment became tainted, it was a helpful way to show the downside of teamwork or how people cam become so involved in their roles, that they truly forget who they are. In my opinion, teamwork means Together Everyone Achieves More. In the experiment, everyone lost control of their of task or function. .
2. What police procedures are used during arrests, and how do these procedures lead people to feel confused, fearful, and dehumanized? If you had been subjected to the same treatment, how would you have felt? .
Normal police procedures were used in the experiment. The imitation police served warrants, arrested the suspects, fingerprinted the suspects, took their mug shots, and searched and seized them. The unusual procedure was the blindfolding and the stripping of their clothes. If I were subjected to the same treatment, I would have felt embarrassed and humiliated. Even though, I would have agreed to the experiment, being blindfolded and stripped of my clothes would have somewhat prepared me mentally for prison.

3. If you were a guard, what type of guard would you have become? Why? And how sure are you? .
If I were a guard in the Stanford Prison Experiment, I would have more than likely been straightforward and basic. I would have followed the rules of the experiment. I have two of the Big Five personality types that are commonly referred to as conscientiousness and emotional stability. I am a non-conformist and I consider myself to be careful, dependable, and self-disciplined. The mere fact that all the other guards were becoming malicious and vindictive would have caused me to do the opposite.
