Hate crime

Hate crime - a criminal offense committed against a person, property, or society that is motivated, in whole or in part, by the offender's bias against a race, religion, ethnic/national-origin group, or sexual orientation group.
Why hate speech and hate crimes should not be tolerated. Hate speech and hate crimes are ignorant ways of expressing ones opinion or beliefs; yet it has gone on for hundreds and probably thousands of years. There have been a few who thought they could rule the world and believed that there way of thinking and their beliefs were the only ones that really mattered. These people will always be remembered, unfortunately it isn't for anything good. They all share the same motivation for doing what they did, hate. Adolf Hitler who probably killed the most people out of all the lunatics out there did so because he believed during the first World War people of Jewish faith stayed home and were getting rich. Joseph Stalin killed more of his own people than the enemy during World War Two because he was afraid they would turn against him after the war was over. And Idi Amin, this man was intent on wiping out all Asians and anyone else who got in his way, and last but not least the Ku Klux Klan, a bunch of cowards who hide under sheets. Need I say more.
On the night of August 20, 1980, Joseph Paul Franklin, a 39-year-old member of the KKK and American Nazi Party, murdered two black men as they jogged alongside two white women in a Salt Lake City Park. Franklin said he committed the murders because he was against race mixing. (Altschiller, 1999, p.5).
On March 21, 1981, Michael Donald, a 19-year-old African American, was lynched by United Klans of America. His mother awarded 7 million dollars. (Altschiller, 1999, p. 5).
I don't think 7 million dollars is going to return this mother's child to her. These white supremacists aren't the only ones doing the damage but they are a big part of the problem, for example: .
