Everyone has a philosophy about life and death but that philosophy is based on one major thing. That huge factor is whether the person is a born again Christian or a non-believer. Those two types of people usually have complete opposite views on life and life after death. The non-believer will either believe that after death nothing will happen to them, or that when they die they will go to heaven if they have lived a fairly good life and did good deeds. On the other hand a Christian believes that there is life after death and that life is chosen by that individual on whether they choose to accept Christ as their savior or live life as a sinner. If they do ask Jesus into their heart they will live forever in heaven with God, but if they do not receive him they will be condemned to hell for an eternity of torture.
People often wonder where Christians get all the stuff they believe in. Some people just think that some prophet came and spoke a lot of stuff and it was written down and now that is what we believe. Well, it was not just any prophet and definitely not just any words. The words that were written down were a direct revelation from God put into a selected prophets mouth, and with those words he wrote down what we are commanded to read and obey. Still some people think that idea is completely farfetched and ridiculous. If believing the bible is ridiculous than many people all around the world must be crazy.
