The Culture In Macedonia

Bang! A shot is fired and a war begins. The area known as Macedonia has managed to stay peaceful for many years and probably many more to come. It is a relatively poor area but a self-sufficient peaceful paradise to its citizens.
Macedonia is an area consisting of 26,000 square miles located in southeast Europe on the northern part of the Balkan Peninsula. It is part of Greece, Bulgaria, and Yugoslavia. It is an area filled with mountains and high lands with valleys, rivers, and small lakes everywhere in-between. The entire area has only three large lakes where people fish and the population is dense. The valleys have rivers running through them then biggest one being the Vardar River all of which help to prevent flooding in populated areas by draining the water out to the ocean. Macedonia doesn't border any oceans so tidal waves, hurricanes, and tsunamis aren't a threat to anyone. The lack of flat areas eliminates the threat of tornadoes making the only natural disaster in Macedonia an earthquake of which there is a high risk.
Macedonia is in a temperate zone giving it hot summers and cold winters. On average Macedonia has 30 inches of precipitation some of it rain and some of it snow. In January the average temperature is 30 degrees Fahrenheit making is below freezing in the winters. The average July temperature is 74 degrees Fahrenheit making for nice warm summers.
The population of Macedonia is roughly three million people spread out across various rural areas. There is no real dominant race or language so most Macedonians can speak multiple languages. The most densely populated areas are those next to the three major lakes, by the Vardar River, and the areas around all other rivers for their rich soil which makes agriculture very profitable. The most important cities are Bitoka, Tetovo, Skopje, Kocani, Nevrokop, Melnik, Seres, and Drama.
In Macedonia anybody can be any religion they want without criticism from the government.
