             Ben Franklin was one of those people you can admire, he did just about everything.Ben was one of the founding fathers of the United States of America.He signed the declaration of independence, invented many things we use today, established the first library and countless other things I cannot begin to list.Ben was born in boston Massachusettes in 1706.In his early life he began an apprenticeship at his brother James" printing shop.At age 17 ben left to Philidelphia but he soon left again, this time all the way to London to study printing.After spending 2 years in Great Britain he came back to Philidelphia where he opened up his own printing shop and soon created the Pennsylvania Gazzete.After he got his steady job he married Deborah Rogers and had 2 sons with her, William and Francis.Francis soon dies at age 4.After his sons death he spent a great time mourning but then proposed the idea of the University of Pennsylvania in his honor.Ben had another child with Deborah but this time it was a girl named Sarah.At this time the American Revolution had statred so ben organized the first Militia.Ben was always trying to learn as much as he could and in 1752 he did his famous kite experiment.Over the next several years Mr. Franklin did a lot of traveling to and from London and France becoming more and more knowledgeable and respected.While he was in France he hears word of his wifes death and returns to Philadelphia.In 1776 Ben signs the Declaration of Independence from Britain.Ben started to work to promote one thing he felt very strongly about, peace.He helped make many treaties and formed alliances that helped young America greatly.He also worked to abolish slavery which believed was in humane.In his old age he found it was harder and harder to move around so he spent much of his time in his Pensylvania home studying and inventing things to help himself and others.In 1790 the now world famous hero died in his sleep at the age of 84.
