As it can be noticed that once a person borrows money it results in it happening over and over again.
Another reason a person should not be allowed to borrow money is because the may use the money for something other then it was intended for. As in the story Pete gave some money to Donald to pay for food, gas, and other expenses that may have come along during the trip. Instead Donald had given the money to Webster, because he thought that he was investing it. Sometimes when people borrow money they borrow it for the wrong purpose. A person may say that they are borrowing it to do one thing where they turn around and use it for something else. For example, in high school there was a time when a friend had asked if he could borrow money for lunch. I thought since it was for lunch that it would not be a big deal, so I let him borrow the money. I found out later that day that my friend had used the money to buy cigarettes, and I was real upset at him for lying to me. .
My next reason is that the person may take advantage of the situation. It is okay to trust a person, but be careful that they do not abuse that trust. If a person assumes or knows that if they borrow something and will not be confronted, chances are they will take advantage of the situation. Hence, they know action will not be taken if the loan is .
not repaid and will continue to abuse the trust. This was a case between my family and my aunt and uncle. We trusted them to a point where they took advantage of the purpose .
of the loan. We had two retail stores in which both of us were partners. We took care of one store while they took care of the other. After a while, we noticed that there was usually money that was missing out of the store where my aunt and uncle would work. We noticed that their store location would take in more inventories and supplies then our store, whereas the profits would be higher at our location.
