Evils of Christianity

Christians are often blind to the evils of their religion. They are taught from a young age that God is almighty, and should never be questioned, so the less-finer points in their religion are often skipped over. Christianity is evil. Many problems in society have arisen from the religion, which include discrimination, anti-Semitism, sexism, and violence/war. Christianity has fought over hundreds of years to become the only religion, scaring people away from other religions in the process. Many other factors also support that Christianity is evil.
Many society problems have arisen from Christian beliefs. Many wars have been fought over Christianity; major wars include the Crusades (1095-1270 A.D.) and also World War II was fueled partially by Adolf Hitler's Christian beliefs that all other religions are wrong (Astropithcus). Discrimination is a big part of the Christian religion. The bible specifically states that homosexuality is a sin: "No man is to have sexual relations with another man; God hates that" (Bible, Leviticus 18:22). Many examples of sexism are also found in the bible. In the Christian religion, women are considered the source of original sin (Drew, 8). In the story of creation, God forbids Adam and Eve to eat the fruit of the tree that gives knowledge of good and evil. Eve is later tempted by Satan and eats the fruit, and shares it with Adam (Bible, Genesis). "And he said to the woman, "I will increase your trouble in pregnancy and your pain in giving birth. In spite of this, you will still have desire for you husband, yet you will be subject to him,"" (Bible, Genesis 3:16). Another example of sexism is that God is always referred to as a masculine figure: " and he said-, " and he clothed them- (Bible, Genesis 3:16-20). Other quotes from the Bible that support sexism include: "For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of man.
