The Hitchhiker


             Stine is a compelling mystery where you dont find out who or what happened until the very end.
             A boy named James is running away from home. James is a young man with blonde hair and green eyes. Ever since he was little he has had built up anger inside of him because in Key West his parents died in a car wreck and his aunt wanted him to bad to like Key West. It all started one day when James was hitchhiking and a man picked him up and told James he was going as far as Fort Lauderdale. James tells the old man his name is George Murphy just for a little joke. In another part of Key West were two college girls Christina and Terri. They were best friends who's birthdays were three weeks apart. They were nineteen. Also, at Florida's Beach for vacation. Christina was crazy and Terri very cautious. On the way to Fort Lauderdale they get into a wreck witha truck and speed off still making sure the man is ok. They were on their way cause Christina wanted to check on an old friend. They get on the subject about Matthew the guy Terri used to like and how they were at a party and he pulled her away from the party. When all of a sudden they see a hitchhiker Terri refuses to pick him up but Christina thinks hes cute Christina decides what could happen and the boy gets in. James tells them his real name is James Park. He thinks off the bat that Christina is hott and he thinks Terri is alright. They are from Cleveland. He thought to himself how he would love to go with them to Cleveland. James ends up telling them all about where he lives. He is suprised at himself cause usually he never tells the truth. He tells them how he had a friend who reminded him of Terri and her name is Lizzie who dived. They soon stop to eat at resturant called Everglade's Diner. The waiter there ends up disrespecting both girls and James gets really mad so he hits the boy. Terri and Christina were really freaked out by this but they let it go.
