psychiatrists

If someone trusts you enough to tell you a secret, you should respect their privacy and don't go telling everyone. This is closely related to how psychiatrists work because part of their job requires them to keep information about their clients confidential. Psychiatrists don't judge people, they try to be non-judgmental and I think that is something that I also value about myself. Even when some people appear to look, act or behave in a certain way, I don't automatically jump to the wrong conclusions about who they are as a person. Psychiatrists believe in accepting people as they are because they know that everyone is different and generally try to avoid making personal judgements about others. .
They also value keeping their personal life, beliefs, attitudes and values, separate from their career, work and clients. This is done to help psychiatrists avoid imposing their own beliefs on their clients. If a psychiatrist chose their career just because it paid a lot of money, I think that it wouldn't really be fair to the patients because they wouldn't be getting the best help that they could. Money isn't everything, and can't buy the satisfaction, happiness and self-worth that a psychiatrist gets from doing their job. This is how a psychiatrist would have to feel before they could truly help their patients and enjoy their work.
             Functional Skills.
One very important skill that I do have is the desire to understand and help others. A good psychiatrist likes to be around and talk to people and cares about others. I consider myself to be a friendly person and I like to help others, so this would help me if I became a psychiatrist. Being someone that others can trust and depend on is important in most careers, but for a psychiatrist it would help them to be more successful. They would be taken more seriously and it would make their job easier and more enjoyable because patients would be more comfortable and trusting towards psychiatrists that truly enjoyed what they were doing.
