A man called horse

He is known to be one of the greatest scholars of all time, and the creator of the laws of which China's government was built upon. Confucius is one of the most heroic figures of our history. Yet why do I say he's heroic? The concrete definition of a hero is someone who is looked up to for his or her nobility acts. My interpretation is some one who has achieved their goals through hard work and perserverance, and later renowned for his achievements. Someone who is not egotistical but fair, and had a good will at heart. Confucius certainly has all the characteristics of a hero, pertaining to the dictionary and to my definition.
He was born poor and always remained low on the economic ladder, yet he still managed to become one of the best-educated scholars of all time. Perseverance is one of the numerous heroic qualities which Confucius possessed. His persistancy in his studies eventually led him to reach his goal of receiving a high education. While some say, "one without money are doomed for life," Confucius believes "the will of man cannot be taken away (Journal 2-3)" Even at a young age Confucius was persistent in his studies, despite the derision from others. While others were playing games, Confucius could be found engrossed in the ancient texts of China. He was poor and could not afford to buy books, but he fulfilled his love of reading at the library. Not only was he relentless in his studies, Confucius also continuously strived for peace in his country, despite the wars going on around him. Confucius taught the importance of a peaceful society to his scholars, and endlessly promoted that war was not the solution to problems(Confucianism 1-2). Confucius had an unswerving determination that lead him to become one of the most admirable people on the face of this earth. .
One of the best advantages Confucius had was his positive outlook on life. With this view on life, Confucius seemed to always be one step infront of everyone else.
