             The first store and location that I have chosen to discuss and evaluate was POLO SPORT at Eaton Center. As I first laid my eyes on the Polo Sport's store window, the theme was very clear to me. It was adventure. The window design displayed early spring colors along with bright colored murals and pictures of people standing is sunny bright meadows with careless and free expressions on their faces. Those images were very inspiring and made me want to explore the store window with a more detailed examination. So in other words at a glance the window was very eye grabbing and interesting. Upon further examination I noticed that the window was asymmetrical featuring eight headless mannequins placed in no particular order four of them female and four of them male wearing much like the models in the picture casual, bright and comfortable clothing. I"m guessing spring ware. Also in the window further promoting spring, rejuvenation and life many flowers and potted plants were scattered throughout the windows. The store definitely had an open concept build to it because even before I had walked into the store I could see most of it from outside and it was easy to determine that the theme of the store window was certainly carried throughout the store. The store sinage was very insignificant the only trace of sinage I could find would be the traditional Polo Sport logo with the American flag on it placed in numerous places on and inside of the windows and outside wall locations. The lighting in the windows was very much directional, highlighting the merchandise and the store theme. Lights were dim featuring track lights in sets of three, and many individual spot lights. Polo Sport's target market would be men and women ranging in ages 20-40. In my opinion the stores window display was very much a success because it was eye grabbing, interesting and exciting. But most of all it stood out with its colors and theme than the store windows around it making it a success in anyone's criteria.
