The Record was very detailed and very informative. Knowing it is in print and to help their audience understand they need to be very detailed and give enough information for the readers to understand. For example the news on Apec leader crack down on terriorisim The Record had offered more information for the consumer. Chretien's speech was their in written this helps the reader understand what he was saying, compared to the CKCO news it was really quick and viewers were not left in depth of the story. In the CKCO news the Apec issue was narrated over showing video of the meeting. Showing of Chretien giving his speech but then again as a viewer I was not satisfied with the amount of information given to me. The information that was offered by CKCO news was really quick. Again the issue about a Canadian murdered in Kuwait was presented with enough information inorder to understand the whole story by The Record compared to CKCO news which gave little time on the issue and covered the news with little bit of information. Even with the Sniper case the information was in detailed in The Record but when watching the same news on CKCO news the story was not given to me fully maybe because as a viewer I was distracted with the video of showing a blue chevrolet caprice. Now this car was relevant to the issue since it was used in the sniper case however, as a viewer I was to busy looking at the car rather then actually listenting to the storyteller. This same thing happened again when the news about the RIM park was being presented. Again the news had a voice over and previewing the RIM building, I was again distracted by looking at the building and thinking to myself where this is located and checking out the area of its surrounding. Its is very challenging for either newspaper and television to present a news, however The record offered more information about the news then a CKCO news which is forced to cover a story in a limited time giving the consumer less information.
