"I go, and it's done. The bell invites me hear it not, Duncan, for it is a knell that summons thee to heaven or to hell." .
Which means that it is fate that Duncan is to be murdered and it doesn't matter whether I go to heaven or hell it must be done. .
Witches.
The witches in the play, played a very important role they caused practically every death in the whole play except the Thane of Cawdors's death. In that time people believed in Witchcraft. They believed they could fly through the air. They could predict the future. They could vanish into thin air. They could ruin crops. They could kill your sheep and livestock. They were capable of bringing disease and madness to people. They could control the weather and many other things related to these so basically they were real and evil. .
Surprisingly people believed in every one of these. So Macbeth wasn't exactly mad to wonder about the witches prophecy. .
It started of with thunder and lightning and the three witches they were called the weird sisters. They started of with quotations such as,.
"When shall we three meet again?" .
I think this is a bit weird because it is what you would probably her at the end of the conversation, but no they have to be awkward and say it at the start. Then they mention Macbeth for the first time,.
"There to meet with Macbeth.".
This means that they are going to meet Macbeth for the first time. The witches actually sad that they would meet at the heath to meet Macbeth, they must have looked into the future to see where he would be at that time exact time. .
When they reach the heath before Macbeth they plan their encounter with Macbeth. When Macbeth reaches the witches, (not knowing they would be there) the witches chant their famous words,.
"All hail Macbeth, hail to thee, Thane of Glamis." .
Which means to me that the witch is just trying to make sure that they are serious and they know Macbeth well.
