Virtue

.
             .
I like Socrates believe in the ultimate good, furthermore I think that the nature of all human beings is not to be bad, or evil but quite the opposite to be good. Virtue is what leads our actions to be good. So I like most men in Athens, justify my actions by thinking that all of my actions are virtuous, and that all of my actions have good tendencies as oppose to bad ones. However not all of our actions are good, or give a positive result. Regardless of their results I feel that the actions of most people are not with malicious intentions. These actions simply cause harm because one dose not know that it is doing so. In Meno, we see Socrates and Meno involved in investigation of what virtue is and if it's something that can be taught, or if it's something that man possesses through some natural form. Throughout their investigation they challenge many things to see if they are virtue or a part of virtue. Socrates discusses that if virtue can be taught it is a form of knowledge. Therefore when ones actions are done without the full knowledge or wisdom of the out comes we may think that it's causing good when it is really causing harm. .
"all that the soul undertakes and endures, if directed by wisdom, ends in happiness, but if directed by ignorance, it ends in the opposite the direction of wisdom makes things beneficial, but harmful if directed by folly, so in these cases, if the soul uses and directs them right it makes them beneficial, but bad use makes them harmful. The wise soul directs them right, the foolish soul wrongly.".
Here we can see that man can make a foolish mistake even when he is acting in a manner, which he believes to be virtuous. Socrates clearly demonstrates that when virtue is guided by wisdom and knowledge it will always go towards the right path of the ultimate good, but if not that we do things without wisdom and knowledge that virtue deceives us and becomes an act that hurt us.
