Language is very important without it we would not be able to communicate verbally or written. We would not be able to read, write or communicate with each other thoroughly. The reason why language is so important to me is because I wouldn't have an ability to transmit and transport ideas; orally, written, and electronically. Currently I can speak two languages (English and Polish) which enables me to communicate verbally with millions of people. .
Knowing a language is important to me because without it I wouldn't be able to accomplish my goals and dreams, getting through a single day would be so troublesome. I wouldn't be able to watch television, read the newspaper, talk with friends and neighbors, I would basically communicate with everybody, just as I would with an animal. I could forget about getting a diploma or a degree from school, where English is needed in every subject, including mathematics which is a language itself. There would be no use in owning a telephone or cell phone, I wouldn't be able to communicate orally or even send text messages through the phone. Watching television would be kind of pointless since just about every programming now-a-days has voice which speaks a language, it would be very easy to lose focus. .
Not knowing a language is not the same as being deaf, or speaking a foreign language. If you"re deaf you can always use sign language, read or write. If you don't speak the primary language in a nation, you can always get a translator or a dictionary and communication with others would be still possible. Not knowing any language would make me miss out on a lot of things in life. My life would be sad, lonely and depressing, I wouldn't have any friends to go out with, I wouldn't be able to communicate with my parents, finding a soul mate would be very difficult, if possible at all. I couldn't even learn to use sign language because I would not understand the language behind it.
