Should Parents Provide Alcoholic Beverages to Their Children

Parents shouldn't provide alcoholic beverages at home to their under-aged children. It teaches children it's right to drink liquor being under-aged, children are most likely to become alcoholics in the future, and parents are not setting any rules in their houses.
The first reason parents shouldn't provide alcoholic beverages is that they are teaching their children it's right to drink liquor being under-aged. Later on the children will be drinking alcoholic beverages outside of the home. When they start to drink outside the home, if they"re old enough to drink they could end up in a car accident. In the past decade, drunk driving has killed more than four times as many people as the Vietnam War. All these deaths cause by drunk driving could be prevented.
Second children are most likely to become alcoholics in the future. One of the biggest problems now in days is alcoholism. A study made by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), showed that about "40% of those who began drinking before age 15 became alcohol-dependent at some later time.".
Third, parents are not setting any rules in their houses. By buying liquor to their children parents are showing them that theirs no rules in their house. Eventually the children will not respect the house they live in.
The point is parents are giving their children a bad example. Theirs even the possibility of going to jail. When parents buy their children liquor they are encouraging them to drink. Most of the people think that by drinking alcohol they will have a good time. The fact is that alcohol is a central nervous system depressant. I don't think there's any parent who wants to see his children end up being alcoholics.
