Juvenile Delinquency

He was exceptionally affectionate and very helpful in the organization of the event in which we were involved. Throughout the course of the afternoon my wife and I were preparing for what we thought would be a night of stress relief. Our son asked us if he could spend the night at a friends" house. He also asked us if his friends" cousin, the friend he ran away with, could take them to the other friends" house, so we would not be inconvenienced. My wife and I agreed because we knew the friend well, and we were happy with our sons association with him since he was a respectful person. .
Our concern with his whereabouts began when I tried to call him his friends house around 9:00 p.m., and his friend advised us that he had not seen nor heard from our son since earlier that day. We decided to drive over to our house and make sure he was not locked out of the house. When we arrived, not only did we not find him there, but our vehicle was missing as well.              With the assistance of the Las Vegas Police Department (LVPD), my wife and I searched for our son all night. I had spoken to a friend of his, who told me they might be headed for Denver. I was in the process of packing some clothes to drive towards Denver when the state police dispatcher called and advised us our son was in their custody, and we should meet with them at the State Police headquarters.
