jesse owens

The magnificent runner Jesse Owens didn't spend his youth running 10 miles a day, training hard at a prestigious school, or doing 100 crunches or sit-ups a day. It never happened that way he spent his times as a young boy bagging groceries, loading freight cars, or shining shoes. .
One day in East Cleveland Technical School he was in gym class and the students were being timed in the sixty-yard dash. Of course there were runners that ran a tenth or even a second faster then the other kids. Coach Charlie Riley was sitting in the chair timing the other boys but then he saw the amazing raw talent and his eyes practically pooped out of his head described by Jesse's fellow peer. He was so over whelmed with this boy's ability immediately Coach asked him to come out for the track team. But then they had a problem where Jesse couldn't practice after school with the team because of his work and jobs he had to do. But that soon was resolved when the coach offered to come to school early and give up his time to teach Jesse before school because he believed with work this kid would become a track star and soon it became more of a reality then a dream.
As a senior in high school he tied the world record for the 100 yard with a time of 9.4 seconds which at that time was beyond phenomenal because its one thing when you've just turned 18 to set a state record then it's amazing to set a national record but its incredible to set a world record. He also tied it when he got to the national championships in Chicago. He was an incredible athelete that won numerous gold medals at track meets only to be quite overlooked in the past years by the color of his skin that god made him. It was shameful that through his incredible life he got death threats and racial comments and gestures from opposing people because he was better then everyone where ever he went he was a freakish runner someone who cant be surpassed.
