Harry potter


            I read the book Harry Potter by JK Rowling. She lived a life of a fairy tell herself. Harry Potter is her most famous book. The book has been remade in movies, and played on the television for the young kids today. I am going to give you a summary of what I read, and how I felt about the book. .
             Harry Potter starts off with him arriving at the Dursleys under very peculiar circumstances. Although his aunt and uncle aren't at all happy at having Harry live with them, people all over the country are rejoicing at the "boy who lived." Then after a while Harry started to get mysterious letters. Despite Uncle Vernon's efforts to keep the letters from him, Harry finally learns that he has been been invited to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
             At school, Harry meets his new professors, fellow students, and the resident ghosts. He is relieved to be chosen by the sorting hat for Gryffindor, along with Ron and Hermione. At the opening banquet, Dumbledore warns students to stay away from a corridor on the third floor. Harry is disconcerted that so many students seem to know who he is, and he gets the distinct impression that Professor Snape doesn't like him. While rescuing Neville's Remembrall from the bully Malfoy, Harry demonstrates his broomstick skills.
             Then Harry finally discovers that the three-headed dog must be guarding the sorcerer's stone. To serve a detention, Harry, Malfoy, Hermione, and Neville help Hagrid look for an injured unicorn in the Forbidden Forest. When Harry finds it, a cloaked figure is drinking its blood. Harry is saved by a centaur named Firenze who tells him the figure is Voldemort trying to stay alive until he can get the Elixir of Life from the Sorcerer's Stone. .
             Harry realizes that Voldemort is close to reaching the stone despite all the charms keeping it safe. He also thinks Snape is helping Voldemort. Harry, Ron, and Hermione get past the three-headed dog and through the trap door.
