Students are the life of the college. In determining the college policies there should be involvement from the students. As the policies are for them, they play a major role in making them and in checking policies made by others. So the committee, which prepares policies, should contain some students who can see that policies are not against them. .
For example administration want to decide whether to add or delete varsity sports, it should notify students of the opportunity to request the addition or deletion of a varsity sport. They may give a copy of this procedure and of a Varsity Sport Request form. In order for administration to consider adding or deleting a varsity sport students should complete the Varsity Sport Request Form and submit it to the concerned authority. By checking the forms they can take the decisions. In this way there will be great interaction between the students and the administration, which will lead the institute in a better way. This also helps the students in the future. They will have an experience in making policies, which may be useful for them after they enter the corporate world. .
If there is no such type of interaction there is a danger of misunderstanding between the administration and the students, which may lead to bring a revolution in the students. .
As the involvement of students in the policy making is proving good to both the students and authority students must be given a chance to be in the policy-making bodies. This will give a better future for the society, institutes and students.
