The 28th Amendment


            
             The right of citizens of the United States to universal health care, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, or financial status.
             Universal health care is long over due in the United States. Congress has .
             continued to stop any implementation of effective health care for all out citizens. The .
             strong congressional resistance is spearheaded by insurance companies, making billions .
             of dollars from the current system. A popular belief is that there is not enough money to .
             cover everyone for everything, that the system would be bankrupt. Yet, we find money to .
             rebuild other countries, pay for North Korea not to produce Nuclear weapons, .
             vaccinations for third world countries, and I can go on and on.
             Yet, we can not find the money to help with health care costs for someone that .
             may have lost their job and does not have health insurance. Or the older citizens that built .
             our country have to make choices about buying food or medicine. We will be able to fund .
             the universal health care system and still fund many of the worthwhile foreign aid .
             programs by simply using the preference vote. This will be during every presidential .
             election year, citizens will vote (not congress) on which countries will be on the preferred .
             countries list. Therefore, countries which show contempt for the United States, would be .
             voted off the list. Instead of giving free handouts to the ungrateful countries we could .
             help our own citizens.
