Farenheit 451

In the twenty-fourth century The United States has become a grim place.
In the twenty-forth century books have been banned in the United States. Books are not the only problem with the society; people have become conformed to a boring life of watching television, looking at walls and listening to sea shell radios. It's this subliminal life that makes suicides a common thing in a land of the free and home of the brave.
Times are hard for the citizens of the United States. Life is grim, firemen start fires. Youth run down pedestrians for fun and children smash windows for excitement. These are some of the activities you can do to pass the time and boredom of your restricted life. The government has banned books other than ones that are approved. The government also has taken control over the media. It's this interference which has affected the citizens in a negative way. Citizens don't think for themselves. They live a routine boring life and don't have a care in the world.
Fahrenheit 451 has been a good book following the life of Montag who wished to change the United States by bringing books back into life. I think the United States is doomed until there are more people like Montag. Until then I"ll have to keep watching my TV wall.
