Joys Of Motherhood

Not to long after her birth Obi Umunna died but Ona refused to marry Abadgi. She becomes pregnant again and finally gives in to Abadgi and moves in. However Ona died in childbirth a long with the baby. .

At first the couple was happy but after awhile Nnu did not become pregnant. So Amatokwu's family found him a junior wife who becomes pregnant in a month. Nnu husband order her around and made her do farm work, she stop sleeping with her, and insulted her a lot. The Obi blamed her not getting pregnant on her chi, personal god, who happen to be the slave woman. They did everything to try to appease her but nothing worked. .
             Amatokwu's junior wife let Nnu watch her son whenever she stayed with their husband. Nnu became very attached to the boy and even started to breast feed him. Her husband caught her feeding the baby he was upset so he beat her send her back to her father. Nnu was very depressed and her father had to find away to help her.
