Lab Report

An experiment of measurement, in which we will measure the length from a persons back of the knee to their heel, then measure their height and plot the results on to a graph to show any relationship between the height and the length of the leg. .
             B. The experiment being conducted is to see if there is any relationship between how tall a person and the length of their leg and whether or not the results are consistent.
             C. The longer the length from the back of knee to the heel, the taller the person will be in relationship to that length.
             2.Procedure.
             A. The equipment consists of a meter stick, a chair, graphing paper to plot the results.
             B. We measured the length of 4 people's legs from the back of the knee to the end of the heel. A person kneeled on to the chair placing their leg into a 90-degree angle. The meter stick was used to measure the length from the back of the knee to the heel of each person. Next everyone's height was then measured with the meter stick. Last we recorded the data and plotted the results on the graph. .
             3.Results .
             A. Graph is attached to lab report.
             B. On the graph is the height of a person and the length of their leg plotted in an organized manner to easily see if there is or is not a relationship between the height and length of each person.
             4.Discussion.
             A. The hypothesis failed to be accurate. The relationship between the height and the length of the people participating in the experiment did not coincide with the hypothesis.
             B. The data recorded showed no particular pattern or relationship between the participants and their measurements. .
             C. In conclusion, the initial hypothesis failed to be accurate. Our hypothesis could be more accurate if we used more participants and broke them down into categories by their genetic makeup. (Example: sex, weight, hair color, etc.).
