Parenthood

The film, "Parenthood" depicts the trials, challenges, laughs and tears created by the ups and downs of parenting. With an example of a typical American extended family, Ron Howard depicts how the reality of parenthood differs from the typically pictured ideal family. A father, scared by his father struggles to raise his three children; a high-strung little leaguer, vivacious daughter and an easily entertained toddler keep Gil torn between being the father his father wasn't, being the husband his wife needs, and the business man his career demands. On the flip side of Gil's children's academic limitations, his brother's daughter life is filled with scholastics, flash cards and intellectual stimulants. to bad she's only in pre-school. Her deficit comes out in her antisocial behavior and inability to relate to children her own age. Then, to extend the dysfunction, Gil's sister's kids expose the teenage trials yet to come. Julie, the sexually active rebel, and Gary, the scary hermit keep the single parent mother busy as she struggles to cope with raising children alone. Furthermore, with the grandparent's dealings with Larry, the gambling addict, and his newly introduced son, Cool, the father of the family takes a lead from his children in handling his youngest son's dilemmas. Combined, these family's challenges individually combine to expose the flaws in popular culture's view on child rising. .
             2) Would you be able to make than same sacrifice Frank made for Larry?.
Frank made a single statement that should be tattooed on every new parent's forehead. " He's still my son, it [parenting] never ends." A parent is a parent, from birth till death, in my book. The road doesn't end at eighteen, or when they marry off, and even when they have children of their own, it continues. Your child is always your child. Larry, Frank's youngest son, finds himself in trouble with a gambling addiction and large in large debt.
