Rules govern our freedom, rules are laws or guidelines set up to protect and direct a certain group of people. Rules made, can determine our freedom, even so, our destiny; because its been said, that rules can brake or make a person. In light of recent events in our nation, rules have been created while others demolished, all in the name of "freedom." This reminds me of Jonas's community, to protect the society from hurt, conflict, and even disrespect some activities and behaviors were forbidden or non-existent. .

because the people were never allowed nor did they have the desire to leave there borders. People were not allowed to decide on a life partner and they couldn't have more than two children, each of different gender.
There was a time in this society were these rules were unheard of, in my opinion it was because of fear that these laws came into effect. For example, if a normal marriage process were allowed to take place, there would be chance for divorce, the mistreatment of children and welfare would be a requirement. To avoid pain, anguish, frustration and thoughts of suicide the Community of Elders saw it fit to make laws to protect their people. In my mind I think that they created these rules to protect themselves, they wanted a perfect community were they wouldn't have carry the burden of real leaders. .
Leaders sacrifice all for their people and are able to fight to the end so ensure their happiness and well-being.
