Theology and Falisification

" The usage of strong assertions such as: "God has a plan," "God created the world," and "God loves us as a father loves his children" may sound as strong assertions, yet they lack real meaning and concrete support in order to stand alone as an assertive statement. The author goes on with a way to understand such assertions. He suggests that "one way of trying to understand his utterance is to attempt what he would regard as counting against its truth" by confirming the believer's opposing view. Attempting to prove the opposing view allows one to choose whether to accept or deny it. If denied it is equivalent to the believer's view. The author also explores the strong faith people have towards god. In spite of tragic occurrences, people still keep faith. In this article, the author uses an example of a child dying. Even though the family has suffered a tragic loss, they are still accepting of Gods fatherly love. It is here that the author brings up the question as to what kind of occurrences would have to take place for us to lose our faith in God?.
As I analyzed the article above and provided the examples used to support the conclusion, I noticed that the premises, if in fact true, supported the conclusion very well. They would definitely make the conclusion more likely. The conclusion is more believable after reading the author's reasoning. .
When looking into the article for content, one must look for three signs to prove that the premises are in fact good premises. Firstly, one must check to see if the premises are clear. The first time I read the article I had some trouble comprehending it. I had to read each sentence a few times and break it down into terms I understood. For example, in the third paragraph, the last sentence threw me off course. I did not understand what it had to do with anything until I took it apart, piece by piece. Also, in the fourth paragraph, I felt as though the author reiterates himself.
