In this epic, Beowulf, the main character, shows superior strength, by being eager to face all of his challenges without a doubt that he is the best. He is always up for the challenge, always courageous, and always come forth whenever he is called upon. During his lifetime, he always represents good in a battle against evil and willing to fight for good at any cost, even death.
When Beowulf is challenged, he faces the challenge he faces it with the most confidence than a man could have. At all times he knows that he is the best at what he does. In line 266, page 28, he states that "No man swims in the sea as I can, no strength is a match for mine." He obviously has no doubt that he is the best.
He seems to be ready for war at all times. He's always there when called upon.
He is ready to fight for a cause and help a town or land this is being terrorized by evil.

Before his battle with Grendel, he knows that he's representing good in a war against evil. In line 366, page 31, Beowulf proves this by saying, "My purpose was this: win the good will of your people or die in battle." Beowulf was ready to die for the right of good at any cost.
In this epic, Beowulf is superior in strength and moral character. In his mind, he's knows that he's the best, and he proves it each time. He's ready for any challenge, so he can show off his strength. He"ll die for the cause of good in the war against evil.
