An endomorph may also need to work on being able to overcome physical laziness with regular, physical exercise. Walking is better than jogging or any jumping activities because of the high impacts. It is very important to know that one can create enormous physical strength with the proper blend of endomorphy and mesomorphy.
The next body type is called mesomorph. This person has strong shoulders and chest, heavily muscled limbs, and their forearms and calves are stronger than the arms or thighs. They also have a wedged-shaped body, a cubical head, narrow hips, and a minimum amount of fat. Mesomorphs are more narrow form front to back, rather than side to side. They are capable of greater development of muscle mass and also can get away with doing less and achieving more (Pena 1). This body type is that of the traditional warrior and athlete. People of this body type tend to prefer physical activity and may find it hard to sit for any long length of time. Mesomorphs usually perform better in the physical world. This person likes to challenge themselves with different obstacles where they use their muscle that are physically developed more, as well as their will power. "Mesomorphs are usually able to withstand a large amount of pain and noise when compared with the bother body types" (Pena 1). Of course, mesomorphs can compensate by working out and exercising on the time off. However, without a stable workout routine, the mesomorph is at a greater risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, and other health issues. Also, the mesomorph is more likely to be more aggressive emotionally and physically, when compared to the other body types.
The mesomorph athlete is probably going to participate in sports, such as football, basketball, speed running and jumping, as well as martial arts. This type of athlete should get lots of physical exercise to keep in shape, reduce tension, and to avoid the possibility of early heart disease (O"Hanrahan 2).
