Drugs The Choice Is Yours

I used to believe that it was okay for teens and young adults to try drugs at least once. After getting off drugs myself I realized that the feelings that come along with them are far too addictive. To any young adult or teen who is contemplating trying drugs, don't do it it's a trap. I have my own opinion, past, statistics, and what I've seen happen to some of my friends to deter me from using drugs. However, ultimately the choice is yours.
In my past I have done many drugs that I am not proud of. However, it has given me the knowledge to help deter people like you from repeating my mistakes. I've smoked marijuana, taken ecstasy every way possible, taken acid, and even snorted special k. I've been to raves, underground clubs, and private drug parties, and none of them compare to the feeling of accomplishing a goal. From my own past I have based my own opinion on drugs.
In my personal opinion drugs provide an illusion or escape from reality. The feeling that is produced by ecstasy for example is a feeling of happiness, euphoria, or content. The feeling is caused by the drug MDMA, which causes the brain to produce seritonin, a hormone produced by the brain that acts like an anti-depressant. The euphoric state caused by ecstasy only lasts three to five hours, allowing one to become dependent on the drug much easier. That is just my opinion, but there are some actual accounts of people's lives getting screwed up by drugs.
Drugs tear up everyone's lives in one way or another, which are using them. Drugs have wrecked my own family. My own cousin accused me of selling her ecstasy, when she was caught under the influence. My entire family hated me despite my futile efforts to prove myself innocent. To have my own grandmother look me in the eyes and say I was a liar, and she never wanted to see me again really broke me down. That account almost made my parents get a divorce.
