Effective Teaching

The negative aspects involves non-participation in some of the students in the group and having only one or two actually doing the work that is accredited for. This causes conflict of knowledge and participation. There are many different ways around having this happen to the classroom. Always put the students" in-groups instead of allowing them to choose who will be in their group (Grouping). Separating all the troublesome students and putting them with other students that can help them learn rather than having them slack-off in the project and at the last minute complete it and turn in for credit and not for excellence. This will also establish a relationship between the students and have them work with the other student they normally do not interact with. .
             Learning strategies are a measure of achievement by both the teacher and the student. By creating an attainable goal for each assignment this will allow more communication between teacher and student. Feedback is the most important asset towards this goal because this will help the student's progress and will allow the project to be easier for the student. Clear step-by-step instructions will also help the process go by smoothly (Kratochwill). .
             There are limitations for feedback but not for the teacher. This is a one-way communication for the teacher. There is always that line that must not be crossed by the student in order for the teacher to keep their authority. This shows weakness in an effective teacher and the lecture that is being taught. The role of a teacher must always be stronger than the student. The lecture must run smoothly and be passive rather than active. Keeping the tone of the presentation at a low pitch and passive delivery. Lectures that are not clear and are unevenly complex with additional material that is not necessary are dull and hard to comprehend. These lectures tend to lose the attention of the students and they also tend to forget the lesson.
