Short Story - The Fish-A-Lot

"Get up! Were going to be late for church!" Sean's mother yelled. Sean slowly got up out of his bed and made his way towards his dresser. Every other step he took he stepped on some sort of toy or piece of garbage that had been in his room for weeks. He pulled out the yellow painted chipped drawer and started getting dressed. Immediately after, he remembered that he needed to count his money. He rushed over to his closer door. "Two, four, six, eight, nine, ten. Aw man! I need two more dollars until I can get my special Goldfish from Fish-A-Lot." Sean said. He trampled down the stairs to ask his mother if he could go to Mrs. Johnson's after church to mow her lawn. She said yes because she knew how much he wanted this fish. .
Church seemed like it took days until it ended. Finally he raced over to Mrs. Johnson's and began begging her if he could mow her lawn. She told him he mowed her lawn yesterday and it was as short as it could get! However, since he constantly begged her for three minutes she gave up and said yes. He grabbed the lawn mower out of the small garage and began mowing as fast as his feet could go. After he had completed his job Mrs. Johnson paid him five dollars. He told her thank you very much and began his journey. He ran as fast has he could go down to Fish-A-Lot. Butterfly's filled his stomach because he was so excited. When he arrived he opened the door and there it was in the corner. It's scales were shining like diamonds. He asked the employee if he could bad it up for him. Sean paid for the fish and on the way home he thought of a name for it. He didn't know if it was a girl or a boy. Therefore he named it Jackie. Sean promised Jackie that he would take great care of her and wouldn't let anyone hurt or touch her.
Sean walked into the house and his mother ran over to him and asked to see the fish. Sean told his mom no because he had paid for it with his own money and didn't want to share with anyone.
