In some American minds there are many though processes. One of those thought are of what they think of law and justice, if the two even fit together in their mind. There are many, many laws and most I feel are extremely petty. There are offenses that people commit and are made in which they are then told they are a criminal. One ridiculous petty crime committed against the states are those people who choose the use of marijuana. As I feel and many other Americans do, we can rightfully make the decision for use of marijuana due to the fact that we are American citizens here because of liberty. With "liberty" in mind this is why I propose the decriminalization of marijuana.
Marijuana should be legal due to the fact there is no significant reason why it is against the law today. In our nation we use the term "liberty" often. In our "political world" we use "liberty" more often than those who try to exercise our liberalism. I am at liberty (freedom) to voice decriminalization of marijuana, as well as my fellow pot smoking Americans. We would like full use of our liberalism without conditions. Therefore I step ahead of the rest and take the responsibilities into my own hand propose legalizations of marijuana. In support of my proposal I have listed reasons to why votes shall be in my favor.
Reason number one, marijuana is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known. Marijuana's greatest advantages as medicine are it's remarkable safety. It has little effect on physiological functions. Marijuana is also far less addictive than any other drug. Some of the many good uses for marijuana as a medicine are simply this: Cancer, marijuana alleviates the nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite caused by chemotherapy. AIDS: marijuana helps AIDS patients retrieve their appetite, and alleviates nausea and vomiting. Glaucoma: use of marijuana reduces interlobular pressure and alleviates the pain and slows the process of the disease.
