Louisiana Living

The trip was well worth it, I got to see so much beautiful scenery. When I finally got out of Florida and made I into Alabama, I got to see my first battleship there in Mobile. Also in Mobile I got to drive through a tunnel which was just the coolest thing to me. The rest of the trip was just beautiful woodland scenery as I traveled trough Mississippi. I only made it as far as Jackson, Mississippi on the first day. It only took me eight and a half hours to get there. The only reason I stopped short of my final destination was because pouring rain that made it where I could only see five feet in front of me. So I stopped and got some sleep. The next day bright and early I got up and made the rest of the trip. Now, I was finally in Monroe, Louisiana.
As I pull into this town I start to wonder to myself what the hell did I get myself into. The road were all falling apart and looked like they were made out of a bunch of rocks thrown together. The looked nothing like you would imagine a college town looking like. The best part of town looked liked the bad side of any other normal town. I finally pull onto the campus and was actually disappointed with it. I had imagined something like the University of Florida or A Florida State University, but instead I got the ghetto university. The actual campus was split from the dorms by a bayou that we had to cross. Eventually I got used to the town and the school and actually came to love it. I pull up to the dorms and they looked like a broke down motel. All the rooms were outside and not inside like most colleges around the nation. Now I must move on to the rest of the time that I spent in Louisiana.
Finally I got all moved in and started my new in a new town and state. The first few weeks were kind of bland and boring. I finally started going out to the bars and clubs and meeting people. The first few people that I met were through Matt and the fact that he played football.
