Parenting Practices

There are many different ways of parenting these days. If one were to research parenting, they would most likely find out that the three most common types of parents are the permissive parent, the authoritative parent, and the authoritarian parent. These three strategies are quite different from each other. One is very lenient, one is very strict, and the other is in between the first two.

Because of the harshness of the style of parenting, the children of an authoritarian parent may be very rebellious in their teen years. This is because they want to do what they are not allowed to do, so they do it behind their parents backs.
Another popular type of parenting technique is the permissive technique. This type of parent is almost completely opposite of the authoritarian parent. The permissive parent is very lenient and allows their child to do pretty much whatever they want. They set no boundaries and .
