Chaos

My family has passed down a very special heirloom from generation to generation since the end of the 11th century. In the year 1078, my great, great, great, great, and so on, grandfather was accidentally encased in ice, perfectly preserving his body. His name has been forgotten but we lovingly call him James the Iced, for obvious reasons. The how and the why of my ancient grand father's unfortunate accident has also been lost in the passing of hundreds of years, but one aspect of his legend has not been forgotten. It was said, when he was first entombed, that one day a decedent of his would bring him back to life. So from that day on he has been kept frozen in the hopes that he would be resurrected by a future generation. .
When James was handed down to my father, he got the idea in his head that he would be the one to bring him back to life. After many years of trying to develop a safe way to de-thaw him without killing him, my father finally found a way to bring him back. I won't go into the details of the de-thawing process but I will tell you that there was a very foul stench and our bathtub was never the same. To my dismay, my father then put our naked ancestor in my bed because he hadn't regained consciousness. .
Our bathtub aside, it was a very joyous occasion for our family since we had been keeping this guy around for so long in the hopes that this would happen. After the initial excitement, though, we began to realize that James would feel very out of place when he finally regained consciousness. Luckily, I remembered that I was supposed to go to Medieval Times for my History class and I suggested that I bring ole" Jim along once he finally came to. Needless to say, my family thought that was a wonderful idea and quickly invited them selves along, which was fine with me because now they would pay instead of me.
I"ll skip the activities that took place when James finally woke up because it would take a whole book to explain how James ran around the house naked yelling that we were all devils trying to take him to hell.
