Columbine Motives

Some articles may not hit on all the aspects of the pentad so you can conclude the author is talking about act/scene or act/purpose. Columbine is the scandal I chose to analyze in this paper.
The first article I will elaborate on is called "Reflections of the Columbine H.S massacre" The author, a teen writing to a local newspaper gives a brief overview of the event that occurred. "It happened when these two boys, who go to the school, went into the school and started a rampage and killed students and teachers." Next he discusses how other people are blaming things like the movies they watch, video games, clothes the boys wear, and the music they listen to. He goes onto to argue that so many young people are watching the same stuff on TV, playing those games, wearing the clothes, and listening to .

the music and they don't go off and shoot up the school. "People just blame the killings on movies and video games because they just want somebody to pay for what has happened." After he makes these statements he starts to put his blame on the situation. The blame from the author is placed on the parents and the community. He argues that the parents should have been there for the kids more, and the community didn't treat the boys with respect. "What happened weren't all the kids fault and the things they do. I think that they shouldn't blame what has happened because I think it is the parents fault." He concludes his argument with this "I think that this tragic massacre at Columbine H.S would be avoided if the parents and the community didn't see the two boys as an outcast." The main ratio the author focuses on is act/purpose. He talks about the events than gives us what he thinks the purpose is. Another thing this author does is shift the scene. Instead of the school being the scene he directs the scene to the house of the killers.
My next article came from an adult who has a different view on this event.
