Although much of the paper is about the happenings across the oceans, there is still room for some news about home. In regards to the news of today, it does not seem what our focus in news has changed all that much.
In the national news you find articles about workers wages and newly acquired benefits in a few states. Also the work of women and the extra attention they are getting when it comes to the workplace is briefly mentioned. Child labor laws are also mentioned and how they are being strengthened in states across the nation.

One thing I noticed, much like in today's news, is that the majority of the headlines are about death or some sort of horrible occurrence.
