             The Internet started about thirty years ago at a University and has now become a huge source of telecommunications where freedom of speech is used to its fullest without any sort of governing body dictating it. It is a place where one can find a recipe on how to make the sweetest apple pie, to making a homemade pipe bomb from ones own household ingredients. You can find the most popular destinations to take your next vacation on and then decide if you want to refinance your house with competing companies on the web to see who will give you the lowest interest rate there is. You can e-mail your family whom live half way around the world and make a visa payment without having to leave your door. With all these great advantages, there must be some disadvantages that not too many people are aware of. .
             Many people today pay Internet Service Providers for their Internet access like Netscape, AOL, and Netpipe to mention a few. These service providers have high tech computers with high-speed connections to the Internet and are on their way to becoming the backbone of the Internet world. Many ISP's allow their users to select their own homepage on the ISP's computer for the whole Internet community to view. This is a concern because some users have "objectionable" material on their homepages and have pop-up ads that are not suitable for young children to view. Net-porn is an offshoot industry on the information superhighway and companies like Playboy and Hustler run their own servers that are permanent parts of the Internet. Users who wish to view their material must pay Playboy and Hustler for their access. This is where net censorship arises. .

             There is a wealth of pornography and other indecent material online for everyone to see. .
             The only thing one must do in order to see this type of indecency is type in a sexual word and the modern search engines will show sites that contains the typed word.
