             The focus of the research was the influence of a regimented workout program and the impact it has on lower golf scores. If a strong workout program is beneficial and lowers golf scores, then anyone wanting to improve their golf game would need to develop a program that is suitable for that individual. By comparing the golf scores of a group who participates routinely in a workout program and a group who does not participate, we may be able to provide some evidence that there is a physiological side to the game of golf that would in fact make someone a better player. The analysis of data in this chapter is organized by the following topics: (1) demographic data (2) data analysis and reporting, and (3) data results and findings.
             Demographic Data.
             The subjects of the study were members of the Texas A&M Commerce men's golf team. The subjects consisted of eight members of the golf team all were between the ages of eighteen to twenty-two years of age. The gender of the subjects was strictly male. Four of the subjects were the experimental and participated in a strict workout program as well as practicing their golf skills. The other four were the control group and only worked on golf skills and didn't participate in a workout program of any kind. .
             Data Analysis and Reporting.
             The scores from four different tests were analyzed. There was a pre-test for both the control and experimental groups. A pre-test occurs before any workout program has begun to determine the level of golf the subjects are playing at that time. These results will appear in table 1. There was also a post-test for both experimental and control groups. A post-test determines the effect the workout program had on the golf scores. These tests were used to determine if there was a significant difference in scores between the control group and the experimental group.
             The following table illustrates that the scores of both groups are relatively the same on the average with the control group scores being slightly lower.
