             Every thing in our lives are based on computers, from toys to appliances to cars and houses. The computer age began In the late nineteen seventy's with a small handful of people who wanted to see how far they could go. The first computers were huge. A single computer would fill a whole room. Now they fit in the palm of your hand or in your back pocket, they are thirty times faster and they store more memory.
            
             • Mainframes are big computers usually used in large organizations, usually used for processing large amounts of information. Ex. Financial transactions in a large bank.
            
             • Dumb terminal is a monitor and keyboard. The dumb terminal has no processor, it is connected to a mainframe witch runs the terminal.
