The Ages Of Change

The dynasties of China, though different in many ways to the modern government, are still very similar in many aspects. Some areas are more profound than others but similarity exist in almost every aspect of the rich culture of China.
China is a very old country which had lived under Empirical control for over two-thousand years. Only within the past two-hundred has it switched over to its more modern socialistic/communistic government. In many ways it was good for the people and the prosperity of China. While the many dynasties took care of the people, they lacked in the areas of freedom and personal rights. Even today China does not allow many freedoms to its people. One example is the right of couples to have children. There are strict laws that a couple is to only have one child. If a couple chooses to have more then they are heavily taxed and fined. Still, the rights of the people have improved greatly. It used to be that women had almost no rights at all. Living under communist control changed that. In communism everyone is equal and is treated the same.
Another difference is education. In dynastic China only the rich boys were educated. Women were believed not to need it. Their sole purpose was to serve their husbands. Education was not needed for house and farm work. Even the wealthiest of women were not educated, for even that was considered a chore and wealthy women did not have to do work. In china today both boys and girls - rich and poor - receive education. Everybody is considered equal and is given an equal chance in education.
Even the culture of art changed with the government. Early art depicted earth-tone landscapes depicting working peasants or scenery. Paintings were also only done by the wealth and trained. They were taught to paint a certain way and would not experiment on their own with new styles. Most Chinese landscapes look the same because of this.
