My name is Nirali. I was born in India in the state of Gujarat in 1972.My parents wanted me to have good education and so the decision was made to send me to a catholic school in India called “Sophia High School”. So at the age of 4years. I was sent to a boarding school where I stayed with the nuns. This was the start of a new journey in my life. This journey brought into my life many good and bad experiences. Among the good are that I developed good discipline and organization skills,respect for elders, and some interest in sports and above all art.In the field of Art I developed an interest in oil painting and embroidery work. I studied there until I turned 17 years and then transferred to another public school to finish my 11th and 12th grade.I finished my 12th grade in1991 and then went on further to
college to major in English Literature , while still doing my 1st year I had to come to the US with my family in June,1992 due to which I had to stop college.
Coming to the US was another journey in my life which was accompanied by problems adjusting to the new system and culture that is different than the Indian culture. It took about 2 years to understand the system and the culture here. I started college again here in 1995. I first completed Chemical technology because I was not sure as to what field I wanted to pursue a career in. After finishing chemical technology I got a job in a chemical company . This was the first real job I ever had and this job helped me make a decision regarding what career I should choose. I chose to be a chemist and obtained a BS in chemistry from Rutgers University of New
