The story of a kilted warrior, William Wallace who leads the Scots into a long and bloody struggle with the English for there freedom and right to rule there own land. The New York time says, “It is an explosive action movie” and one of the most original. Compared with the movie ‘Die Hard’ brave Heart is more original using spears, swords, and huge rocks as tools of destruction.
Throughout the movie William is a warrior with courage and a romantic soul that gives him that extra drive every time he goes to battle. Wallace first gets his thirst for revenge when his beautiful wife is murdered
Some of the viewers shall call Brave Heart a bloody allegory movie. But instead it should be thought of as an ambitious and great gamble that all turns out in the end. Brave Heart was truly an epic of our time and Gibson’s performance shall always remain in the hearts of many especially the scene when he stands over the carnage he’s wrought and screams in victory with his nostrils flaring. That would strike the heart of any man or woman who values freedom and human dignity.
