Choices and Consequences


            We make many choices everyday such as what we wear to school tomorrow. Some of those choices are bad while others are good. Good choices would lead to good consequences, and bad choices would lead to bad consequences. Throughout literature such as Romeo and Juliet, They Caged the Animals at Night, and Antigone, characters are always facing events that force them to make choices.
             Romeo and Juliet is about two crossed-lovers, Romeo and Juliet, and an ancient grudge between two feudal families, the Capulets and the Montagues, that droned on ceaselessly. The Capulets and the Montagues chose to fight against each other. This resulted in the deaths of their loved ones, which are .
             Tybalt, Lady Montague, Mercutio, Romeo, and Juliet. This is an example of a bad choice. When Mercutio and Tybalt started to fight, Romeo tries to stop them. This is an example of a good decision. It was because of this decision Romeo was banished from Verona instead of being killed after the Prince found out Romeo had killed Tybalt.
             They Caged the Animals at Night is about a boy named Jennings Michael Burch, who lives with his mother and four bothers. His family is very poor. There are times when his mother couldn't take care of him, so she sent to a series of orphanages. George, Jennings's brother, chose to be an alcoholic. As a result, his family member looks down upon him. .
             Antigone is about Antigone, who was the daughter of King Oedipus and the niece of King Creon. Her brother Eteocles and Polynices had fought against each in The Seven Wars Against Thebes. Her Uncle, King Creon, saw Polynices as a traitor to Thebes. He made an edict said that Eteocles was the only one to buried with honors. When Antigone heard this, she became distressed. She decided to bury Polynices and was caught by Creon. She was put to death. Her death helped Creon his mistakes. .
             Throughout life, we have to make many choices. The choices we make will define your future.
