Advanced English Essay

            
             There have been numerous experiences that have changed my life, but only one has impacted it the greatest; my mother being in the military. Many people never move in their entire life, but I have moved a total of four times. Ever since I could remember I have been moving and it is not easy. It takes atoll on you emotionally and mentally. It is not always a negative thing to move to place to place every couple of years. I have had a lot amazing experiences because of it. I have been as far as to the beautiful island of Hawaii and the culturally rich Germany.
             .
             My mother has been in the military for a total of eleven years. She was stationed in Germany when she had me. My family went to a lot of diverse places. First, we went to Cleveland, Ohio to visit my grandparents. We stayed there for a total of three months. Then we went to a military base in Hawaii. We stayed there for a total of three years. We also were stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky for a total of seven years. .
             I lived in Fort Campbell for the majority of my life. It was a positive experience. Living on an army base had a positive effect on my life. I am actually thinking about joining the military. I am in Junior Reserve Officer Training Core at my school because of the military experience in my life.
             .
             When I lived in Germany, I was seven but I still remember a lot of miscellaneous things. In Europe, they use kilometers instead of miles. Their seasons and time of day is not on the same schedule of ours. Their toilets flush in the opposite direction of ours. They have cramped living spaces and they drive on the opposite side of the road than Americans. Europe and America have a lot of things that are different from one another.
             .
             Moving from place to place let me see sites and places I have never seen before. I have been to a lot of places some people can only dream about, like Hawaii. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is amazing; I really enjoyed and appreciated the different genres in music.
