Centaur Solutions, Inc. Invades New Orleans

The owner/founder of CSI has been an instructor for the University of New Orleans’ Metropolitan College for several years. During which time he has taught numerous New Orleans professionals with little or no computer skills, including seminars for local businesses. Beginning my research with locating the current market demand for CSI in New Orleans, I decided to gather information on the action this city plans to take. While the need for more qualified employees increases, the potential for CSI’s services appears promising. The market potential for a technology consulting and/or training center in New Orleans is really an abandoned well waiting for thirsty patrons. CSI contains the key to a successful and rewarding job in the technology industry.

CSI will cater to employers in high-demand, high-growth industries with special training needs. Although CSI may not have the resources as a large university, they make up for it in cost effectiveness. Through their consulting department, which offers on-the-job-training, employers can create a skilled and reliable workforce by training workers while on the job. Throughout my research the Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP) seems to have the most economic growth potential for CSI. Through the IWTP employers can enable their current workforce to attain higher-level jobs within the organization, while opening entry-level opportunities for new entrants to the workforce.
