1. Greek Foods
The staple foods of our diet now are olives, bread and wine. Wine is made from grapes that are squashed and then fermented until they have alcoholic content. Crusty breadrolls, goat cheese and olives are the main food supply at most meals. And since Greece is surrounded by water, we have a variety of fish to eat, such as mackerel and tuna. We also eat octopus, squid, and shellfish. Fish are flavored with bay leaves, rosemary and thyme. Other meat is only ever eaten at sacrificial times like religious festivals.
