... sky, the moon and the sun, many questions come to mind like how big are they?, how did they originate? , how long their life is?. For many years, human beings have been trying to find answers to these questions, but the answers to many of these questions are still unknown. Initially telescopes ... one of the 100 million stars in the Milky Way. From this, we can imagine the vastness of the milky way and hence the universe. Black holes are mysterious components of universe. A black hole is a region in space from which nothing can escape, even light. Their existence was confirmed just a few...

And it also is responsible for holding all of Earths oxygen by forming a sphere-like shape around our planet. Therefore our Earth's ozone layer has a very big role in keeping our beautiful planet ... Earth alive. But this particular kind of ozone is infact being destroyed by man today. Scientists have recently found a few holes in our ozone layer. The main of which is located above the south-pole and sized larger than the entire United States. It is bein...

Ozone holes are mainly caused by the emission of chloroflurocarbon or CFC. CFCs are used mostly as refrigerants, aerosol spray propellants, and solvents in electronic chemistry ... is because they are so stable that they cause problems. Because CFCs do not break down in the atmosphere, they float up and rise for about eighty years until they reach the ozone and break apart by the ultraviolet radiation. CFCs contain one fluorine atom, one ca...

The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory or SOHO for short is a cooperative joint effort by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the U. S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The main mission of this project is to study the internal ... spacecraft have already helped scientists here on Earth discover and explain some of the mysteries of the Sun as well as to confirm some of their theories they previously held. For example, in May of 1998 with the help of the Michelson Doppler Interferometer scientists were able to see with greater clarity the giant convective cells inside and...

Part of the mystery began to unlock when astronomers at Northwestern University detected the first observational evidence for the remnants of hypernovae, explosions hundreds of times more powerful than supernovae, last year. Hypernovae may be the possible source of GRBs, making ... a hypernova in 1998 as a why to explain GRBs. Gamma-ray bursts are brief but intense blasts of high-energy radiation. On the other hand, capillary forces are dependent on fluid properties, solid properties, and the geometry of the pore space (i.e., holes). The magnitude of capillary forces is thus variable, and can be much smaller or much larger than the gravitational force. An example of capillary forces exceeding gravity is capillary rise ... of considerable interest with respect to the protection and development of water supplies in semi-arid regions.
